Under-fire boss Ange Postecoglou offered a heartfelt explanation of his legacy as he vowed to claim trophies for the team allowed sufficient opportunity

Justifying His Performance

"We ended up in fifth position my first year" he recalled

"On each occasion Harry Kane scored a goal I often thought he would have continued for additional time since it could have been beneficial to retain him following our fifth-place finish"

"Yet somehow that year has disappeared from the record books" he asserted

Moving Ahead

"Therefore, we arrive at the current space where there remains an alternative narrative to present, that maybe I'm not an unsuccessful coach who was lucky to get this job"

"but maybe I am a coach who if provided patience, the story always ends the same"

The ex-Celtic boss also promised, if given time, he would maintain his record of claiming honors at each club he's coached
